THE CLOTH HALL
The Cloth Hall is one of the most emblematic monuments in Krakow which dates back to XIII century.
It was erected in the 13th century and was an edifice of a gothic style only in 16th century it acquired a Renaissance costume with all the beautiful embellishments.
Unique attic with decorations, mascaron ornaments arcade loggias and staircases are simply stunning.
The Cloth Hall owes its present -day form to 19th century renovation. Neo – Gothic arcades and breaks on both longer sides are best remnants of it.
Every time I am passing by I need to stop and either simply look at this architectural treasure or take a photo. I have like tens of photos of Sukiennice but never have enough 🙂
