PLANTY PARK- GREEN BELT SURROUNDING THE OLD TOWN

Planty Park  in spring is absolutely awesome as it combines both blooming nature and secret history.

You may admire  one of the most famous Krakow’s landmarks while walking along the Planty park.

In the picture you may have a  foretaste of it; view of St Franciscan Church and Bishops Palace , hidden behind the trees along with one of  the  park’s fountains.

There are also  stone pedestals strewn around the Planty which mark places where city towers & gates used to create a system of cities’ medieval fortification.

Planty is fulfilled  with monuments to famous Krakow’s characters which tell us the story of  Krakow in old times like X century or  Krakow of Belle Epoque .

It is a great time to arrange a sightseeing walk along Planty Park 😉
