Education by Ecology!

Symbioza – is located  in the Okocimski Pavilion at the Lea Meadow in the Wolski Forest.

Krakow activists came up with the idea of revitalising and restoring the splendour of the Pavilion  and adopting it into an ecological education centre.

Implementation of the project consisted of the modernization of the Okocimski Pavilion building and the development of the surrounding area to adapt it to the needs of the ecological education centre.

Currently the center offers permanent exhibitons,  a great variety of workshops and  fantastic outdoor activities.

Day room

Visiting our permanent exhibition is a remarkable encounter with the forest and its inhabitants. The common beech tree will tell you it’s story, and after that you certainly won’t want to call it ‘common.’ Do you know what trees talk about…? Be careful, because there are plenty of forest secrets to discover. We’ll share everything we know about the place we call home.

Night room

The sun hides behind the horizon, it’s dark, our daily activities and obligations come to an end. We’re glad to lay down our heads to rest. That is, cities rest.

Is forest life governed by the same laws? In the Centre’s night room, you’ll find that in this sense, the forest ecosystem functions around-the-clock. The forest never sleeps. When some of its inhabitants to go bed, others begin an intense period of activity.
We invite you to an amazing adventure to engage your senses. At night, your eyes are no longer your most important source for learning about the environment.

Take your time and relax

The forest is a place we love – that’s why there are many attractions which will help you experience the uniqueness of this place. Wolski Forest is an important spot on the map of Krakow, and we believe that it will delight you with its charm at any time of the year. To tired walkers, we offer lounge chairs, which you can borrow free of charge at our reception desk. Dreamers can rock themselves on our hammocks.
