EXHIBITION OF STANISŁAW WYSPIAŃSKI
The exhibition is a perfect opportunity to remind ourselves and others about the creative output of this eminent artist.
The National Museum in Kraków has gathered an extremely valuable collection of works by Stanisław Wyspiański (1869-1907) , who was one of the most significant and genuine polish artist of Art Nouveau era . He was such a versatile man that one cannot even imagine, he was a great poet and playwright, painter and drawer, graphic designer and scenographer and also theatre reformist, unbelievable isn’t it?
The majority of the pieces collected and presented are his drawings, portrays and landscapes, scenographic and typographic designs, pieces of furniture and fabrics , graphic designs and art books – it all confirms how extremely talented he was!
I myself visited the exhibition 4 times already and I’m absolutely mesmerized by an enormous diversity of the exhibits and the stories each one of them tell us about its author’s life!
My favorite exhibits are the stained glass windows designs for the Wawel’s Cathedral and for the Franciscan Church in Kraków, would you like to find out what would be yours?
If you are ready to visit the exhibition I would be more than happy to accompany you !
